What is a standard installation?

All costs quoted are inclusive of a standard installation - but what exactly does this mean? Well, the good news is, the vast majority of installations (over 90%) qualify for a standard install.  However, for your own reference, we've detailed the major difference below.

Standard Installation

Included in the cost quoted

  • Installation onto a brick or plaster wall, or to another suitable mounting point such as a post
  • Drilling though one wall (300mm)
  • 10m cable run from your fuse box, to your charger
  • Up to 10m of plastic trunking to conceal any interior wiring
  • Installation below 1.8m
  • A clear route for your cable
  • No civil work required
  • Spare ways available in your fuse box
  • Fitting and testing of electrical connections and protective equipment carried out by our NICEIC Certified Contactors
  • Demonstration of your new charge point, so you're left ready to plug and play.

Non-Standard

Minimal additional cost required

  • Installation onto an uneven surface or mounting point
  • Drilling though more than one wall
  • More that 10m cable run from your fuse box, to your charger
  • More than 10m of plastic trunking to conceal any interior wiring
  • Installation above 1.8m, high level access equipment required
  • Movement of furniture or equipment blocking your cable route
  • Civil work required
  • No available spare ways
  • 22kW charger installations, including initial assesment
